15th European Wildlife Disease Conference

9—13 September 2024, Stralsund, Germany

EXCURSIONS

On Wednesday, 11 September 2023, in the afternoon, it is time to get active!

Join in one of the three excursions and discover the wonderful landscape and nature at the Baltic Sea coast, especially around the so-called Greifswalder Bodden, an inner bay in the South of the island of Rügen, which is connected with the Strelasund in the West and the Baltic Sea in the East.

Please indicate your preferred excursion when registering for the EWDA 2024 conference. Participation in the excursion is comprised in the general registration fees and includes transport to the starting point of the excursion and back as well as a packed lunch.

1. Sea kayaking

Explore the Greifswalder Bodden from the water in a tandem sit-on-top kayak and discover local water birds such as cormorants and a variety of duck species. At that time of the year, you may see the Caspian terns crossing over on their migration to the South.

We will offer an advanced tour around the Island of Riems (approx. 2 hours) and a beginners’ tour (destination depending on the weather conditions that day). Please indicate your level upon registration.
