Accommodation
Being locacted at the Baltic Sea, Stralsund is a “touristic hot spot” from May to October. Accommodation is limited and prices can get expensive. Therefore, please start searching for accommodation at least 12 months in advance.
On the right-hand side of this page, you will find a list of hotels and links to other useful accommodation providers.
In case you would like to offer sharing a (hotel) room with other conference participants, please write to roomshare.ewda@~@gmail.com and you will receive a link to a document, where you can enter your offer/request. It is an opportunity to get to know other participants better, it can reduce financial costs, and it strongly reduces the environmental costs related to accommodation during the conference.
Students having difficulties to find affordable accommodation are welcome to write a request to Kim van de Wiel, EWDA Student Chapter Chairperson (ewdastudent@~@gmail.com). We are aware of the fact that the demand is high and we will do our best to accommodate your requests as much as possible.
Travel
The 15th Scientific Conference of the European Wildlife Diseases Association will take place in Stralsund, Germany from 9 to 13 September 2023. The main conference venue is Störtebeker Brauquartie (“Brewery”) in Stralsund.
Individual parts of the conference will take place at the headquarters of the Friedrich-Loeffler-Institut on the Island of Riems and at the OZEANEUM in Stralsund (cf. venues and program outline).
